From July 27 to 29, 2024, the Octogone Group made its mark on the third edition of the Benin
Talent Pool Meet-up, an essential annual event for Beninese and African talents. Held at the
Novotel in Cotonou, this event brought together leaders from the private and public sectors to
discuss strategies for talent development and retention in Africa. For Octogone, this participation
was much more than a simple presence: it embodied a deep commitment to the development of
Africa and the optimization of local human resources.
The event provided Octogone with the opportunity to unveil its new visual identity, symbolizing
its renewal and ambition to be a key player in sustainable development in Africa. This new
image embodies Octogone's vision: to unite African talents to actively contribute to the
continent's transformation. Chairman and CEO, Razak SAKA, seized this opportunity not only to
share the scope of ongoing projects but also to emphasize the importance of overcoming the
barriers that too often hinder the rise of African talents.
In his speech, Mr. SAKA passionately recounted his decision to return to Benin after gaining international experience, driven by the conviction that the future of the continent is being shaped here and now. For him, Africa, and particularly Benin, represents a fertile ground for business and future projects. By highlighting Octogone's initiatives, such as the creation of gas-fired power plants and the development of agro-business, he demonstrated how these projects address the growing energy and food needs of the sub-region while creating opportunities for local talents.
Mr. SAKA also discussed the culture of excellence that Octogone seeks to instill, a strong entrepreneurial culture that, although faced with challenges inherent to the African context, aims to promote performance and innovation. Octogone's vision is inclusive and participatory, seeking to break the "glass ceiling" to allow talents to fully flourish. He emphasized Octogone's innovative approach, which aims to be an open platform for innovative projects, encouraging collaborations and synergies between talents for a lasting impact.
Octogone's participation in the Benin Talent Pool thus reinforced its positioning as a major player in development in Africa. The enriching exchanges and prospects for future collaboration highlighted the importance of this event for Octogone, which, by sharing its vision and projects, invited talents to join this collective adventure.
